A few of you might know that last year I had a baby, a little girl and our home since her arrival has never been the same. The abundance of beautiful flowers and gifts that we received was overwhelming and as a staunch neutral interiors kind of girl, I suddenly found myself surrounded by colour... and guess what... I liked it.
When we began to put the things away, the house felt a little less cheery. I missed the rosey hues and vibrant spring blooms and I felt inspired to do something about it. Another new factor in the equation was that everything now needed to be machine washable (!) and so I set myself the goal to design a kitchen and homeware collection that was 100% cotton, versatile and colourful.
Wanting a subtle floral theme with the meanings of flowers woven into the fabric, I chose the hydrangea for devotion and moss for maternal love as my inspiration. And so after many months of looking after a new baby, of nurturing her and seeing her grow, the collection came together and Seedling & Bloom was born.
All in all, a labour of love and dedicated to my daughter.
